Leaving for Paris

As I explained in my last blog post, I conducted some experiments this week. I managed to convince 11 people to participate in the study and I’m fairly pleased with this number. However, since I’m leaving for Paris tomorrow morning, the analysis of the collected data will have to wait another week.

Another thing worth mentioning is the fact that my app is still a bit buggy… Although people were not particularly annoyed by these seemingly random app crashes, I looked into this very tricky bug further and found the culprit after a few hours! It appears that the Empatica E4 wristband sensor is writing into unallocated memory, causing the app to throw a fatal segfault libc exception. So far, I haven’t been able to fix this problem and I’m not sure if I’m every going to…
